Community Greening is giving away 250 trees to Delray Beach residents this Saturday.
The walk-up tree giveaway starts at 9am at the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum. Trees are given out on a first-come, first-served basis as part of Community Greening's partnership with the City of Delray Beach to add 10,000 new trees to the city by 2025. Delray Beach residency required. Limit two trees per household.
In addition to the tree giveaway, the Community Greening Youth Tree Team – local high school students that are paid staff of Community Greening – will be planting 20 trees on the grounds of the Spady Cultural Heritage Museum with the Museum Staff & Board. The Spady Museum is the only of its kind in PBC, which is dedicated to showcasing the Black history and heritage of Florida, specifically in Palm Beach County.
