Don't Miss this Special Evening of Art and Inspiration!

We're excited to share the opening of Impressions of Italy by Ralph Papa on May 16, 2025, from 6–8 PM in the Upper SE Gallery of the Cornell Art Museum! Celebrate this stunning collection by local artist Ralph Papa, featuring canvas, framed, and metal prints capturing the beauty of Italy. Don’t miss this special evening of art and inspiration!

A celebrated artist with a career spanning over 50 years, Ralph Papa began painting as a child in Manhattan and later studied art and architecture at Queens College and City College of New York. He honed his craft under renowned artist Henry Gasser at the Art Students League and first exhibited in New York’s Greenwich Village.

Papa’s early work explored emotion through bold, expressive portraits, but over the years his style has evolved to reflect a deep appreciation for nature and everyday life. From studio work in Tehran to plein-air landscapes in the Hudson Valley, Hamptons, and Southeast Florida, his paintings reveal a thoughtful and refined artistic journey.

Currently based in both New York and Florida, Papa is a member of the Garrison Art Center, Delray Art League, and the Professional Art Guild at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. He also teaches drawing and painting in Delray Beach, and his work is held in public and private collections across the U.S. and Canada.

The Cornell Art Museum will showcase his latest collection celebrating the beauty and spirit of Italy—don’t miss this special exhibition!
