The Delray Beach Historical Society is preparing a fascinating talk about Key West’s cigar making days, presented by Society Archivist, Kayleigh Howald.
The term “Clear Havana” referred to cigars made with Cuban tobacco, rolled by Cuban rollers in Key West.
The cigar industry’s legacy is a vibrant part of Key West’s cultural heritage, influencing its architecture, economy and the strong Cuban influence of today.
