Join historian and the Society’s Archive Coordinator, Tom Warnke, for a captivating walking tour of Delray Beach’s iconic main street.
Atlantic Avenue is more than just the heart of downtown; it’s a living story stretching from I-95 all the way to the ocean. Along the way, you’ll discover landmarks like the Colony Hotel (1926) and the Atlantic Avenue Bridge (1952), as well as the historic districts of Old School Square and the Marina. These sites showcase the city’s evolution from its founding days through the 1920s Land Boom and post-Depression growth.
On this tour, you’ll hear the stories behind the Avenue’s most treasured places and learn how Delray Beach is working to preserve its rich history for generations to come.
