The Annual Holiday Boat Parade will take place on Friday, December 12, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The decorated vessels will form at the Ocean Avenue Bridge in Lantana, near the Old Key Lime House, and travel south to the C-15 Canal in Delray Beach, just south of Linton Boulevard.
Between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., vehicular and pedestrian traffic will be restricted at the George Bush Boulevard, Atlantic Avenue, and Linton Boulevard bridges at various times as the parade travels south. For safety, these bridges will be raised while the parade passes. Based on prior years, estimated bridge closure times are 7:45 p.m. at George Bush Boulevard, 8:00 p.m. at Atlantic Avenue, and 8:15 p.m. at Linton Boulevard. Please note that these times are approximate.
Popular waterfront viewing spots include Deck 84, located at 840 E. Atlantic Avenue. Local boaters are invited to participate in this year’s parade.
Registration is free, though all participants are required to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the captains’ meeting. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place in three vessel size categories: under 25 feet, 25 to 34 feet, and 35 feet and over. No food trucks or concession vendors will be accepted at this year’s Holiday Boat Parade.
