The Spady Museum’s backyard and the William’s Cottage will be turned into a festive village of creation stations managed by teaching artists, staff and volunteers. The goal of the Make a Gift Village is to represent the multicultural community in which we live. The gifts will be inspired by the Haitian, Jewish, West African, Mexican, Bahamian and other cultural communities that make up Palm Beach County. The teaching artists will provide instruction on how to make traditional handmade gifts such as cloth dolls, textiles (place mats, potholders, etc.), paintings, jewelry, soaps, and baked goods. The village will have a gift wrapping station so that families can leave with a wrapped gift that is ready for the holidays.
